Weather Related Fatality

Limestone County officials say a 26-year-old Limestone County woman was killed when ice on U.S. 72 caused a car to spin into the path of an oncoming pickup truck. Limestone County Coroner Mike West says the highway was a sheet of ice when the collision occurred Monday morning.

The News Courier reports that West says the victim, identified as Kelly Ann Adams, was a passenger in the car. The truck driver was not injured.
