"No Idling" Campaign

August 6, 2010 - 3:37pm

The State of Alabama is finding a new way to fight pollution as well as prevent kids from potentially becoming ill. It's called the "No Idling" campaign. It's aimed towards preventing kids from breathing deadly emissions created by buses and cars waiting to pick up kids from school. Buses will be asked to turn off engines after 3 minutes and parents will be asked to do the same.  The "No idling" campaign is a joint effort between the State Board of Education and the Alabama Department of Environmental Management.
