Recollections of Shooting
Congressman William Delahunt is scheduled to detail his recollections of the investigation into the 1986 death of Amy Bishop's brother. A spokesman for the Massachusetts Democrat says Delahunt will be speaking to the media about the case on Monday. Delahunt was district attorney when the then 21-year-old Bishop shot her 18-year-old brother to death in their Braintree home.
The shooting was ruled an accident and Bishop was never charged. The Harvard-educated neurobiologist is facing capital murder and other charges for allegedly killing three colleagues and injuring three others in the biology department at the University of Alabama-Hunstville on February 11.
Delahunt has been in the Middle East since the shooting in Alabama and has said he has limited memory of the case.
